Volunteers drive emergency response vehicles into hard-hit areas to deliver meals
ATLANTA, September 30, 2009 – As part of its flood relief operation, the American Red Cross will provide meals to more than 3,000 people today, which marks the eighth day of the organization’s outreach efforts.
Note: There has been misinformation about a Red Cross feeding site in Mableton, Ga. There is only one “fixed” feeding site in Countryside Village in Lawrenceville. All other feeding is being done via mobile outreach at the following anchor locations or areas:

Austell Currantion Woods Deerfield Creek Run
Clay Road VMH Rivermeade, Fulton County
Powder Springs Snellville
Cobb County Civic Center
The Red Cross has been providing meals for eight days. To date, the Red Cross has provided 18,672 meals and 13,952 snacks to affected residents.
How to Help
